Staffed by a specialist midwife/coordinator, both community and Children’s Centre midwives, and health link workers, the service offers a range of support aids including education and parenting classes, information leaflets and CDs. The clinic benefits from interpreters as well as a telephone interpreting service.

The clinic is nurse/midwife led with a comprehensive referral pathway. Both pregnant and nonpregnant women can access the clinic. Our aim is to see women within two weeks of their referral. Children can be seen by individual appointment as this would be a joint appointment with a consultant paediatrician. The clinic offers advice, referral to urogynae, consultant obstetrician, social care, honour-based abuse team, counselling, ante natal care and assessment, de-infibulation, post-surgery and postnatal follow up.

The Bristol Community Rose Clinic provides care and support for women who are experiencing problems as a result of female genital mutilation (FGM). This specialist de-infibulation clinic is staffed by an all-female team, who understand the sensitivity and complexity of issues relating to FGM. They offer this support to women from Bristol, North Somerset, south Gloucestershire and Bath areas.

This service is confidential and the reception staff at Eastville Medical Practice cannot take bookings, email the clinic for advice or to make an appointment.
